Man City President admits he wanted to sign Messi to his club

In an open conference, the President of Manchester City Khaldoon Mubarak admitted that his club tried their best to secure Lionel Messi to their side but was unsuccessful.

When asked by the journalist “which player he had desperately wanted to sign on different occasions “.  The President of the English based club replied: “To be very sincere, it was Lionel Messi”. And the presented confirmed from the owner of the club that it was actually three different times that they attempted to sign the Argentine but was unsuccessful.

During those times they tried to get the Barcelona starman to England, it was only heard as a rumor. Sometime last year, even Pep Guardiola denied it at a press meeting. But for the first time, Man City have confirmed it to be true.

We asked Guardiola to talk to Messi and convince him to come to us. We even offered him three times more of salary compared to what he got at Barcelona, but he declined our offer.

Director of Manchester City Ferros Soriano admitted that his side cannot convince the Argentine to switch sides. We will make continue without him even though it will be harder because he is the best player the world has ever seen.
