Dani Alves criticize the absence of Barcelona player

For­mer Barcelona right back Dani Alves spoke to the press about the absence of his for­mer team­mates. The Brazil­ian have being known for gen­uine­ly express­ing his mind and in The Best gala night orga­nized by FIFA was not dif­fer­ent.

When asked by the press if he was sur­prised that none of Barcelona play­ers attend­ed the event, he said; “No and Yes. They should have come for the cer­e­mo­ny, only one day of miss­ing train­ing is not going to change much as regards to their prepa­ra­tion ahead of their Copa del Rey game. Besides, they’ve being prepar­ing for so long.”

I was hurt when every­where I looked I saw Los Blan­cos and not even a sin­gle Blau­grana. If they had come, it wouldn’t have changed much, but you have to respect thei deci­sion” said Dani Alves.

He spoke about Cris­tiano Ronal­do win­ning the best play­er award. “I have the play­er I would have want­ed to win the award but of course my vote did not decide the win­ner. Ronal­do won the vote ahead of any oth­er play­er and so you have to respect it.”

He talked about the five point clear dif­fer­ence between Real Madrid and Barcelona. “All hope is not yet lost for Barcelona. They still got chance.” On what he missed most in Cat­alo­nia, “I miss my for­mer team­mates and the kind of foot­ball we played in Barcelona.”
