When winning the Champions League group becomes a norm

In the history of the competition, no club has dominated and topped the Champions League group stage for as long as ten seasons back to back. Only FC Barcelona have done that.

The Blaugranas after winning Borussia M’gladbach have done what any club is yet to do by being on top of a group in Champions League for ten consecutive seasons. Even though the Catalan club have not being so great in their recent league games, they’ve always found ways of adjusting when they find themselves on the biggest club European competition’s stage. No wonder they are recognized as the first in Europe’s Super Clubs.

Real Madrid, Chelsea and Bayern Munich were only close to achieving this record in the past when they topped their group seven consecutive times. While Manchester United went six straight seasons on the top of their group in the competition.
