Busquet: A tough game that even Man City could not win here

busquetThe third captain of FC Barcelona talked to the press about the game against Celtic that ended 0–2 for the Blaugranas. Sergio Busquet was delighted with how the result turned out to be after a goalless draw from Malaga.

He began, “We have always known it would be a difficult game because Celtic is a team that makes their opponent suffer in their home. Even Manchester City couldn’t win here. We created several chances to extend our lead, in the beginning of second half they started aggressively but we were able to manage them.”

We have being very strong and we have ended the group stage as group winners.”

I cannot say we are dependent on Messi, of course he’s the best player in the world. He scores goals, create assist and he’s no doubt the most decisive player we have on our team. But the truth is that we have played and won games without him being on the pitch.”

He talked on Malaga’s encounter at the Camp Nou, “we did everything we could to win but it did not click, that’s football for you. Today, we were able to see tangible points from the game.”
