Sergi Roberto To Miss Out on Wednesday Clash

Sergi RobertoAt the end of the stale­mate game against Espany­ol on Sat­ur­day, Ser­gi Rober­to was seen limp­ing out of the pitch. Although, he came in as a sub­sti­tute for Ivan Rakitic and was part of the action of the game for about 20 min­utes. A med­ical check up was car­ried out on him (Ser­gi Rober­to) at the Cui­tat Esporti­va Joan Gam­per on Sun­day morn­ing and it came out pos­i­tive that the mid­field­er has suf­fered a thigh injury on his right leg.

The 23 year old will miss out on Wednes­day clash against the same oppo­nent for the first leg of the 1/8 final of the Copa del Rey. Ser­gi Rober­to and Rafin­ha will be the only to play­ers that will be unavail­able for sec­ond der­by clash of the sea­son.

With the FIFA ban reg­is­tra­tion of new play­ers being lift­ed from FC Barcelona, Arda Turan and Alex­is Vidal will be avail­able for the match. It will be their poten­tial debut for Bar­ca since their arrival in last year’s sum­mer.
